The Solen are a race of giant ants made intelligent by the Meer's failed Decay spell. They have recently started appearing from their underground home.
The red Solen have primarily set up home in Trammel, and the black in Felucca.
Each separate breed has also sent spies across the Facets in order to spy upon the other.
